Abstract The Decree of the Ministry of Environment, which is composed of 28 articles and four Annexes, sets out details on: scope of the environmental disaster plan; requirements for separate rooms for equipments where genetic technologies are used; specialized qualifications of executive projects for the use of genetic technologies; assessment of environmental risk of using genetic technologies and procedures and criteria for qualifying genetic technologies; procedure for evaluating direct and indirect effects of the introduction into the environment of genetically modified organisms.
