Abstract

This Decree, made under the Commodities Act, implements provision of Council Directive 90/496/EEC on nutrition labelling for foodstuffs. It prohibits the placing on the market of food for which a nutritional claim is made, that does not comply with these Regulations and, in general, provides rules relative to claims and labelling regarding nutritional values of food. It also concerns the calculation of nutritional values and levels and a food-choice logo.
