Abstract

The purpose of this decree is to make use of the option of granting exemptions for fishing vessels of an overall length equal to or greater than 12 metres and less than 15 metres from the obligations set out in Article 9 paragraph 2; Article 15 paragraph 1; Article 22 paragraph 1; Article 24 paragraph 1 of Reg. (EC) 1224/09, concerning, respectively, the obligation to install on board a fully functioning device enabling the automatic localization and automatic identification of the fishing vessel by the vessel monitoring system; the requirement, resting with masters, to electronically record the information contained in the fishing logbook and to electronically transmit it to the Maritime Authorities at least once a day; the requirement, for masters, to electronically record the information contained in the transshipment declaration referred to in Article 21 of Regulation (EC) 1224/09 and to electronically transmit it to the Maritime Authorities within 24 hours of the completion of the landing operation; the requirement, for masters, to electronically record the information contained in the landing declaration referred to in Article 23 of Regulation (EC) 1224/09 and to electronically transmit it to the maritime authorities within 24 hours of thecompletion of the landing operation.
