Abstract This Decision, based on provisions of the Croatian Law on genetically modified organisms, establishes the Council for genetically modified organisms (GMOs). The members of the Council shall be appointed for a term of four years. The Council appoints the Committee for the restricted use of GMOs and the Committee for the assessment of the impacts of the introduction of GMOs into the environment. Professional, administrative and technical tasks for the Council are performed by the Ministry of Health.
