Abstract This Decision, based on the provisions of the Croatian Law on marine fisheries, authorizes vessels fishing for igloos (Xiphias gladius) in 2022 on the basis of conditions and criteria prescribed in the Regulation on fishing opportunities and fishing of igloo (Xiphias gladius). The right to use the State quota in fishing for igloos (Xiphias gladius) by floating longline is exercised by vessels with individual quotas per vessel as specified in the list under point II. The right to use the State quota in fishing for igloos (Xiphias gladius) with pan and trout according to the Olympic principle with a limit of the total catch per vessel of 500 kg is exercised by vessels listed under point III of this text. Vessels referred to in points II and III may fish from the date of entry into force of this Decision.
