Registration shall be done with the Department of Agricultural Economics and Marketing. No person may use premises as cheese factory, condensed milk factory, creamery, cream depot, milk depot, milk powder factory, margarine factory, process cheese factory or skim milk powder factory unless registered. Premises shall comply with such requirements as may be prescribed. The Act also provides for the appointment and powers of inspectors, analysts and bacteriological experts. An Inspector may issue an order in respect of a factory or its equipment that does not comply with prescribed requirements and standards. Restrictions are placed on the manufacture, sale and importation of margarine. A person employed for the testing and grading of milk or cream and in butter-making and cheese-making shall have certified proficiencies. Full text English Website laws.parliament.na
