Abstract

These Regulations, made by the Minister of Finance, Trade and Investment under section 270 read with section 190(2) of the Customs Management Act, 2011, place restrictions on the importation of goods specified in the Schedule, including (hazardous) wastes, toxic chemicals (including pesticides), species listed under CITES, fish and fish products, wood, animals and animal products, fertilizers, live plants and plant products. Listed goods are prohibited goods, the importation of which are prohibited without a permit granted under these Regulations by the respective authority specified in the Schedule.
