Abstract

All lands specified in section 2 shall be vested in the Governor for the public uses in the Colony. The Governor in Council may from time to time grant, sell, exchange or lease any of the Crown lands, or any right or easement in or over them or any of them, for such price or consideration or rent, and for such estate or term of years, and on such conditions and with such reservations, if any, as he may think reasonable (sect. 4). The Governor in Council may make rules for the management of Crown Lands, for the sale or letting thereof, for the prevention of squatting and encroachment thereon, and of spoil and injury of the woods thereon (sect. 7). The Crown may resume possession of lands specified in the Schedule for military purposes (sect. 7). Precious metals and minerals existing on any land are reserved for the sole use and benefit of Crown (sect. 9). (9 sections and a Schedule)
