Furthermore provisions are set for forest conservation and management such as condition of cutting trees or remnants, measurement of trees to be cut, marking of trees to be cut and prohibition against removal of timber. Licences shall include licences to cut a specified number of trees, a specified quantity of timber, to extract a specified quantity of forest produce in or from a specified area of Crown lands and Forest Reserves or to burn charcoal on Crown lands. Templates of licenses are shown in Schedule 1. Moreover licenses to possess, carry and use a registered property mark on Crown land shall be granted by the Chief Forest Officer within the rules.
