Abstract This Regulation establishes specific measures in the sector of ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin covering the products referred to in article 1. The Member States must communicate to the Commission the information specified in article 3. On the basis of such information, as well as any other information available, the Commission shall draw up a European Community balance for the market in ethyl alcohol of agricultural origin. All imports into and exports from the European Community of the products referred to in article 1 may be subject to the presentation of an import or export licence (art. 4). In the implementation of this Regulation, the Commission shall be assisted by the Management Committee for Wine established under article 74 of Regulation (EC) No. 1493/1999.
