Abstract

This Regulation lays down amendments to certain provisions of Regulation (EC) No. 601/2004, mainly regarding the transmission to the Commission of the European Community of information concerning vessels, as well as notification of the intention to develop new fisheries in the area covered by the Convention on the conservation of Antarctic marine living resources. The Regulation also adds new provisions concerning special requirements for exploratory fisheries and report of vessel sighting.
