Abstract These Regulations declare, for purposes of section 8 of the Primary Industries and Energy Research and Development Act, 1989, a Research and Development Corporation to be known as the Cotton Research and Development Corporation to be established in respect of the cotton industry. A levy, calculated on the gross value of production of cotton or cotton lint and to be paid by the Australian industry concerned with the production, distribution, processing and sale of cotton, is attached to the Corporation.
