Abstract

These Regulations lay down some amendments to the Contained Use of Genetically Modified Micro-Organisms Regulations. In particular, Annex II shall be replaced by the text laid down in regulation 2 hereto. Part A of the Annex determines the techniques or methods of genetic modification yielding microorganisms to be excluded from the Regulation on certain conditions specified therein. Part B sets out criteria establishing the safety of GMMs for human health and the environment.
