Abstract

This Order introduces measures for the prevention of spreading of contagious abortion in Jersey and applies provisions of article 8 of the Diseases of Animals (Jersey) Law 1956 to contagious abortion. Article 8 empowers the Minister to order slaughtering of diseased animals. Other measures include restrictions on vaccination, the declaration of an infected place, disinfection and cleansing and examination of animals.
