The Third Schedule describes extracts of agreement between India and Bangladesh concerning the demarcation of land boundary and other related matters thereof dated 16 May 1974, 6 September 2011. The Act further amends the Constitution of India to give effect to the acquiring of territories by India and the transfer of certain territories to Bangladesh in pursuance of the agreement and its protocol entered into between the Governments of India and Bangladesh.
