Abstract

The present Regulations enforce the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act (S.C. 1992, c. 37). The Schedule of the present Regulations sets out projects and classes of projects for which a comprehensive study is required. The Schedule consists of 32 sections divided into 10 Parts as follows: National parks and protected areas (I); Electrical generating stations and transmission lines (II); Water projects (III); Oil and gas projects (IV); Minerals and mineral processing (V); Nuclear and related facilities (VI); Industrial facilities (VII); Defence (VIII); Transportation (IX); Waste management (X).
