Abstract

The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to competences in the implementation of nuclear and radiation protection provisions. In particular, article 1 specifies that the enactment of the Atomic Energy Act (BGBl. I p.1565) is incumbent upon the State Ministry of Environment and Agriculture. Article 6 establishes that the Environment, Agriculture and Geology Office is responsible for the enactment of the Radiation Protection Ordinance (BGBl. I p. 1714). The text consist of 17 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: Competences under the Atomic Energy Act (I); Competences under the Radiation Protection Ordinance (II); Competences under the Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Guarantee Ordinance (III); Final provisions (IV).
