Abstract

This Regulation lays down some amendments to Regulation (EC) No. 999/2001 which deals with the prevention, control and eradication of certain transmissible spongiform encephalopathies. Firstly, Annex III to such Regulation shall be replaced by the text contained in Annex I hereto, relative to the monitoring system to be applied. Secondly, Part A of Annex XI to Regulation (EC) No. 999/2001 shall be replaced by the text laid down in Annex II hereto. The latter regards transitional measures concerning specified risk material, mechanically recovered meat and slaughtering techniques.
