This Regulation came into force on 18 July 1999.
Abstract

On the permanent observation plots to be set up in compliance with Regulation 1091/94/EC intensive and continuous surveillance of the forest ecosystems shall be carried out. The inventories to be carried out shall also include, on the basis of the new version of article 1 of Regulation 1091/94/EC (laid down in article 1, paragraph 1 of this Regulation) soil solution sampling and analysis as well as ground vegetation assessment. Annex V to this Regulation is added to Regulation 1091/94/EEC as Annex XI. It contains the common methods for ground vegetation assessment in permanent observation plots.
