The Regulation took effect on 1 January 2003.
Abstract

The marketing standards for hazelnuts in shell shall be as set out in the Annex to the present Regulation. These standards shall apply at all stages of marketing under the conditions laid down in Regulation (EC) No. 2200/96. The Annex is divided into six Parts, as follows: (I) Definition of produce; (II) Provisions concerning quality; (III) Provisions concerning sizing; (IV) Provisions concerning tolerances; (V) Provisions concerning presentation; (VI) Provisions concerning marking. In addition, the two following Appendixes are attached: (I) Determination of moisture content; (II) Definitions of terms and defects for hazelnuts in shell.
