Entry into force notes: This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 1 March 2021 until 31 December 2023.

Abstract: This Regulation sets out requirements for the introduction into the Union territory of, and plant health checks on, wood packaging material of certain commodities from third countries listed in the Annex to ensure their compliance with Regulation (EU) 2016/2031. The competent authorities shall conduct plant health checks, on a regular basis, on wood packaging material of consignments of the specified commodities and define the rate of plant health checks.
