This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union and shall apply from 8 November 2024.
Abstract

This Regulation makes amendments in the Point III of Part VI of Annex VII to Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013 regarding the marking of eggs to take place only at the production site to prevent the risk of false marking or mislabelling. The Member States which have already developed efficient marking systems at the level of packing centres, may be exempted from this obligation when it is carried out in the first packing centre to which eggs are delivered.
