Abstract

The present Decision lays down those conditions which shall apply to the importation from Peru of processed and frozen bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods. First of all, article 1 designates the Ministry of Health of Peru to be the competent authority for verifying and certifying that bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods fulfill the requirements prescribed by Directive 91/492/EEC. Those products may be imported for human consumption only if they originate in the production areas referred to in the Annex hereby attached.
