Abstract

In the light of the fact that scrapie poses a considerable animal health problem within the Community’s ovine and caprine population, each Member State is hereby requested to complete a survey of the prion protein genotype of each of its breeds which are native or form a significant population in its territory. Reports shall be subsequently submitted to the Commission.
