In particular, article 1 establishes that to promote the production, quality and marketing of products of agriculture and fisheries and to promote the market overview of these products, the Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, in agreement with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology, with approval of the Federal Council, is empowered to introduce legal grades.
