Abstract

The present Ordinance implements the Schleswig-Holstein Fishery Law of 10 February 1996. The Ordinance applies to coastal waters under article 1 of the afore-mentioned Schleswig-Holstein Fishery Law. The Ordinance applies to all types of fishing, unless regulations of the European Union provide otherwise. Article 2 lists minimum size of fish and closed seasons. The text, consisting of 24 articles, deals with the following aspects: sphere of application, minimum size and weight, closed seasons, restriction on catch, exceptions, mussel fishing industrial fishing, protected fishing areas, electrical fishing, type and use of fishing gear, opening of mesh of fishing gear, carrying fishing gear, ban on trawling, marking of fishing vessels, marking of fishing gear, fishing survey, exemptions and exceptions and entry into force.
