The purpose of the present Ordinance is to protect human beings and the environment, in particular animals and plants and their organized communities and their living space against harmful or annoying effects through the handling of pathogenic organisms in closed systems. The text consists of 24 articles divided into 4 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Requirements of handling with pathogenic organisms in closed systems (II); Implementation (III); Final provisions (IV).
