The Act establishes the Climate Change and Development Authority, the National Climate Change Board, a Screening Committee and the Climate Change and Green Growth Trust Fund. It provides with respect to climate change related project agreements, i.e. agreements between the Authority, the customary owners of the land and forest resources and the project proponent relating to an Agreement on REDD, REDD+, CDM or other Voluntary Carbon Offset Projects and any future climate change emission reduction mechanisms agreed to by the government that will facilitate for sustainable development and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
