Abstract

The present Regulation is made under the Environment Quality Act (R.S.Q. c. Q. 2). In particular, the object of the Regulation is to establish particle and gas emission standards, emission opacity standards, air quality standards and monitoring measures to prevent, eliminate, or reduce the emission of contaminants into the atmosphere. The text consists of 218 sections divided into 7 chapters as follows: General (I); Emission standards (II); Open air burning (III); Air quality standards (IV); Measurement and analysis methods, procedures and follow-up (V); Offences (VI); Miscellaneous, amending and transitional (VII). Eleven Schedules are enclosed.
