Abstract

The present Regulations are enacted under the Canada Shipping Act. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the inspection of ships. The text – consisting of 8 sections – deals with the following aspects: classification society, surveys or inspections, reports of exclusive surveyors to a classification society, survey or inspection periods, validity of certificates. One Schedule is enclosed dealing with scope of surveys or inspections.
