This Regulation, consisting of 32 sections divided into eight Parts, completes the Chemical Usage (Agricultural and Veterinary) Control Act 1988 by specifying which are the prescribed and proscribed chemicals (Part 2) and which are the prescribed maximum residue limits (Part 3). It sets the guidelines for the use of chemical products (Part 4), regulates the use of hormonal growth promotants (Part 5) and prescribes the fees for the supervision of the application of the Act (Part 6). The Regulation is completed by two Schedules giving a list of prescribed and proscribed chemicals and of maximum residue limits for chemicals for animal food.
