Abstract These Regulations, made by the Central Water Board, with the approval of the Minister, under section 49 of the Central Water Authority Act, concern: domestic consumer; domestic and non-domestic purposes. The Regulations prohibit any person from using water for domestic purposes or supplying water for non-domestic purposes in any wasteful manner; contain measures for preventing anyone from carrying out sugarcane irrigation through abstraction of water resources; provide for fines and penalties in case of misconduct.
