The 24 Sections of the Ordinance are divided into 4 Parts and one Schedule: Preliminary (I); Central Forest Reserves (II); Penalties and Procedures(III); Supplemental(IV). The creation of a Central Forest Reserve shall be deemed to be a public purpose within the meaning of the Land Acquisition Ordinance (sect. 5[5]). Forest Reserves shall be declared by the Governor-General by an Order published in the Official Gazette. The Chief Conservator of Forests may make rules to carry out the objectives and purposes of this Ordinance (sect. 22).
