Abstract

In compliance with the provisions laid down under Directive 411/98/EC, these Regulations shall apply to the carriage of livestock. They establish particular animal protection standards applicable to road vehicles used for the carriage of livestock on journeys exceeding eight hours. The standards concern bedding, feed, ventilation, access, partitions and water supply.
