In particular, it regulates the protection of plants from harmful organisms. The protective measures must be carried out according to good laboratory practices. If the spread of an harmful agent is to be feared, the competent authority has to inspect plants, planting material and all connected items, such as means of transport, buildings, etc.where it can be found.
