Abstract Subject to this Act, the Revised Treaty of Chaguaramas establishing the Caribbean Community including the CARICOM Single Market and Economy shall have the force of law in Barbados. This Act states that the goods of Community origin shall not be liable to customs duty or any quantitative restriction on their importation into or exportation from Barbados. This Act lays down provisions on exemption from duty where drawback allowable; establishment of Common External Tariff in respect of goods which do not qualify for Community treatment; duties of the Comptroller; verification of of the origin of any exported good; and penalties for false documents relating to goods exported or to be exported from Barbados.
