Abstract The above-mentioned Law implements the Introductory Law of 27 September 2001 concernint the Federal Water Protection Law. Article 1 establishes that the competent authority for water protection in the Canton is the Food Control and Environment Protection Office. Article 2 lists its specific tasks, such as the supervision of public waste water purification, the control over private waste water treatment, the organization of a water protection police, the improvement of water quality of surface water and groundwater, the preparation of an inventory concerning water supply plants, etc..The text consists of 22 articles.
