Abstract The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the carrying out of the environmental impact assessment. Article 1 establishes that the environmental impact assessment examines whether facilities and plants comply with the federal and cantonal regulations on the environment protection. The text – consisting of 12 articles – deal with the following aspects: sphere of application, competent authority and their tasks, publication of report, valuation of the environment, competence of federal authorities, costs and entry into force.
