The present Law enters into force on 1 January 1999.
Abstract

The present Law implements the Federal Forest Act of 4 October 1991. In particular, the present Law completes the federal forest legislaton and regulates its enforcement. The text consists of 28 articles divided into 7 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Forest assessment and clearing (II); Protection against natural hazards (III); Maintenance and use of forest (IV); Promotion measures (V); Organization and proceedings (VI); Final provisions (VII);
