Abstract The present Ordinance enforce the Federal Fisheries Act of 21 June 1991. The Ordinance is applicable to public and private waters. Article 28 establishes that the Cantonal Council is in charge of the composition of the Fishery Commission, as well as issuing regulations on voluntary fishery inspectors, close seasons, minimum catch, prohibition of fishing, fishing gear, and protected fishing zones.
