Entry into force notes
The present Ordinance enters into force on 1 January 2010.
Abstract

The present Ordinance enforce the Federal Fisheries Act of 21 June 1991. The Ordinance is applicable to public and private waters. Article 28 establishes that the Cantonal Council is in charge of the composition of the Fishery Commission, as well as issuing regulations on voluntary fishery inspectors, close seasons, minimum catch, prohibition of fishing, fishing gear, and protected fishing zones. The text consists of ? articles divided into ? Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Patent fishing (II); Fishing lease (III); Fishing practice (IV); Measure to promote fishing (V); Organization of fishery authorities (VI); Proceedings and legal protection (VII); Penalties, transitional and final provisions (VIII).
