Abstract

The Regulation prescribes the procedures for animal (live vertebrate animal) transport, the welfare requirements for animal transport in a means of transport, as well as the procedures by which a permit of animal transporter and a permit for a means of transport for animal transport are issued and registered in accordance with Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 of 22 December 2004 on the protection of animals during transport and related operations and amending Directives 64/432/EEC and 93/119/EC and Regulation (EC) No 1255/97; as well as the procedures by which training regarding animal welfare during transport must be carried out, the training programme and the procedures by which a certificate regarding training must be issued and cancelled, as well as the procedures for registration of trained persons.
