Cabinet Regulation No. 144 on protected dendrological plantations. Country/Territory Latvia Document type Regulation Date 2023 Source FAO, FAOLEX Subject Forestry Keyword Protected area Protection forest Data collection/reporting Access-to-information Forest management/forest conservation Geographical area Europe, Europe and Central Asia, European Union Countries, Northern Europe Abstract This Cabinet Regulation lists protected dendrological plantations. The boundaries of the dendrological plantations to be protected are determined in the Latvian geodetic coordinate system (LKS-92), which is determined as the coordinates of the Mercator transverse projection plane (LKS-92 TM), using as a cartographic basis an orthophoto map on a scale of 1:10,000, the data of the State Real Estate Cadastre Information System and Forest State Register data. The boundaries are determined without conducting an instrumental survey of the boundaries in the area. Until the instrumental survey of the boundaries in the area, deviations of the boundaries are allowed within the limits of certainty of the scale of the map used, according to the actual boundaries in nature. The geospatial data of the boundaries of protected dendrological plantations are available in the Natural Data Management System in accordance with the regulatory enactments on the procedure for maintaining the natural data management system, updating data and information circulation.
