Abstract

The present Law lays down provisions relating to fisheries in Burgenland. The purposes of the Law are the conservation, creation and restoration of native fish species, the conservation, improvement and restoration of their conditions of existence and their living space; the protection of threatened native aquatic animals. The text consists of 75 articles divided into 8 Parts as follows: Fishing rights (I); Fishing enterprises (II); Relation of fisheries to other provisions (III); Police fishing provisions (IV); Burgenland Chamber of Agriculture (V); Authorities and proceedings (VI); Violations and penalties (VII); Final and transitional provisions (VIII).
