Abstract

This Programme, as in accordance with the provisions of the Law on livestock, provides for breeding and selection programmed methods and issues regarding the selection of queen bees (apis mellifera carnica) for the period form 2019 until 2024. This breeding-selection Programme determines the goals, methods and technological procedures in the implementation of the designated rules and aims. Its main purpose is to carry out organized and designed breeding and selection work, with the aim of raising the production and genetic potential of queen bees and preserving the biological diversity (ecotypes) of Carniolan bees in Montenegro.
