Abstract

The present Regulations enact sections 109 and 144 of the Environment Act. Section 4 establishes that every consumer who purchases a beverage in a beverage container shall pay the applicable surcharge. The text – consisting of 14 sections – deals with the following matters: designated materials, Yukon Liquor Corporation, payment of surcharge, collection of surcharge, dealers licence, collection and remitting by dealer, dealer sales invoice, surcharges paid into Recycling Fund, registration of depots, returns to depots, application of Financial Administration Act, powers of environmental protection officer, and offences and penalties. One Schedule is enclosed.
