It sets out national and provincial management arrangement for beche-de-mer and management measures regarding beche-de-mer. The objectives of the Plan include sustainable fisheries with minimal impact on the environment and protection of coastal communities, in particular of customary fishermen. The beche-de-mer fishery will be managed nationally and National Management Advisory Committee (NMAC) will be formed. To ensure strong input from the Provinces, NFA will encourage provinces in the formation of Provincial Management Advisory Committees (PMACs).
