Abstract

Dealers of lead batteries are obliged, when selling new ones, to recall old used one and to dispose of those accordingly to the present Rules. Collection sites for used batteries must be accounted for and importers and recycling factories must comply with the rules. Factories and /or recyclers must be registered with the competent Authority and the disposed lead acid must be labelled as recycled. Importer and dealers must account for all used batteries versus new ones and keep an updated inventory of both.
