The Ordinance applies to surface waters generally used as bathing waters. Quality requirements of bathing waters are laid down in the Annex. The Ordinance establishes therefore specific standards, thresholds and approximate values in order to qualify those waters. Bathing water is unsuitable for bathing if it does not meet one of the microbiological parameters laid down in the Annex. The text consists of 10 articles and 1 Annex.
