Abstract

These Regulations amend the Aviation Greenhouse Gas Emissions Trading Scheme Regulations 2010 by, among other things: inserting new regulations (2A and 2B) which give the Secretary of State a duty in certain cases to designate a person as someone who is to be treated as a “UK operator” (as defined by these Regulations) for the purposes of the principal Regulations or allow a person to apply to the Secretary of State to be designated as such; making consequential amendments; providing for appeal against decisions of the Secretary of State.
