Abstract This Act lays down, in accordance with European Union regulations: (a) conditions for the peaceful use of nuclear energy; (b) conditions for carrying out activities in exposure situations; (c) details on management of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel; (d) procedure for approval of certain products for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation, and the conditions for the shipment of radioactive or fissile material, radioactive waste or spent nuclear fuel; (e) monitoring of the radiation situation (f) coping with radiological emergency; (g) conditions of safeguarding of nuclear installation, nuclear material and ionizing radiation source; (h) nuclear non-proliferation requirements; (i) government performance for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation. The present Act is composed of the following Sections: (1) Introductory provisions; (2) Peaceful use of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation; (3) Offenses; (4) Performance of state administration; (5) Common, transitional and final provisions.
